Will the free library stay free?
Yes. Career discovery, the content library, and the Career Explorer and Readiness certificates are provided by the nonprofit Spark Manufacturing Academy and stay free for everyone.
Is the certification exam included?
Yes. A Pathway pass includes the final exam for that pathway, and Pro membership includes final exams for every pathway. [Confirm the number of attempts and retake policy.]
Who awards Spark certifications?
Free certificates are awarded by Spark Manufacturing Academy. Professional certifications and Pre-Floor Ready certificates are awarded by Spark Manufacturing Professionals Academy. Both are based on our own training standards and assessments.
How can an employer check my certification?
Every credential has a unique ID. Employers can request verification at any time.
Can my employer pay for my plan?
Yes. Employers can buy seats through a Teams plan, or you can ask us for a receipt to submit for reimbursement.
Who provides these plans?
Plans are sold by Spark Manufacturing Professionals Academy, a separate company. Purchases are not donations and do not fund the nonprofit.
Spark certificates and certifications are awarded by Spark Manufacturing Academy and Spark Manufacturing Professionals Academy based on our own training standards and assessments. They are not issued by, affiliated with, or endorsed by any government agency or other certifying body. Some jobs or employers may also require specific licenses or credentials, so check the requirements for roles you are pursuing.
